Senior Medical Director (Genetics, Neurology and Chronic Diseases)
Location: Potentially Multiple Locations across the US.

Summary:
This niche and growing rapidly Biotechnology that provides novel products for the treatment of rare/ultra – rare diseases. Their pipeline predominantly looks up on the treatment of debilitating metabolic genetic diseases/disorders. Since they were founded they have been able to build a diverse portfolio of candidates with disease for which their unmet medical need has increased. Plenty of substantial growth and new opportunity.

You will be responsible for:
•Clinical development of some exciting and life transforming therapeutics for patients with rare diseases.
•Reporting into the VP with relevant clinical development information
•Leading and helping plan. Develop and execute clinical study programmes
•Analysing new rare diseases in a Clinical study.
•For multiple therapeutic area including muscular, vascular and genetic diseases,.
•Protocol development plans. End point planning and making sure the results have been reported effectively.
•Management of clinical studies and protocol so that the regulatory submissions can be put forward for approval in the US.
•Communicating effectively with academic clinicians, to provide publications for product claims and marketing requirements.
•Strategy planning and product planning ready for marketing, FDA review.
•Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications all ready for product launch
•Working alongside current partners as well as future partners.

You will require:
•MD / MD, PhD degree.
•Clinical fellowship training
•Licensed professional in the US
•Board certified ideally in medical genetics, paediatric or adult neurology and/or other therapeutic areas dealing with forms of chronic diseases.
•GCP regulations trained or experience.
•Trained or experience with designing clinical studies.
•Able to work with a statistician to analyse clinical studies.
•Good communication, able to speak to current medical practitioners.
•Able to answer questions from clients, executive board, stakeholders ,patients and general public.
