Senior Global Pharmacovigilance PhysicianCambridge/Hertfordshire/ Middlesex

International Pharmaceutical Company based North of London are recruiting for a Snr. Global Pharmacovigilance Physician. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing department and offer first rate career progression for a high calibre candidate.

The Global Pharmacovigilance Physician will report to and assist the Head of the Vigilance Department in the safety assessment of several projects/compounds at the developmental stages of the product cycle. The successful candidate will help ensure proactive and timely assessments of safety data to characterize the emerging and known safety profiles of the products within any of the company’s therapeutic focuses (Oncology, Respiratory and Pain).
You will help ensure in-depth medical expertise and medical review is brought to the developmental process of all developmental projects, safety surveillance skills (signal detection, signal evaluation, risk mitigation and benefit risk assessments), Aggregate reporting documents (PSURs, DSURs, PBRERs, etc).

Required technical knowledge and skills
•Qualified Physician with at least 2 year experience as a PV Physician.
•Experience within the industry in pharmaceutical or biotechnology area for both investigational and post-authorisation.
•Knowledge of local and European regulatory and legislative guidelines to PV.
•Experience and knowledge of GCP/GVP and Pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements in, the conduct of clinical trials and for the appropriate contributions to regulatory filings, PV documents and risk management plans.
•Able to plan work to meet deadlines and effectively handle multiple priorities.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills. Written skills as evidenced by publication and journal articles also desirable.
•Fluent in written and spoken English
